The Story
Established in 1992 as the Illawarra Motoring Museum by a group of motoring enthusiasts, this collection at Kembla Grange traces Australian motoring and everyday life from the early 1900s. A single-level, fully enclosed 3000-square-metre building holds thousands of vehicles and related memorabilia, including the Paul Butler collection and the NRMA historic motoring museum. Volunteers restore and maintain the exhibits. The grounds have picnic and BBQ areas and a playground.
