Australian Museum of Clothing and Textiles

Established in 2005 and run by volunteers, this not-for-profit holds a substantial collection of dresses, hats, shoes and ties dating from as early as 1860 to the present. It occupies Brough House on Church Street in Maitland, opening Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 3pm, and works to preserve the history of Australia's clothing and textile industry.
