Black Stump Gallery
Broome, WA, WA
The Story
A commercial gallery in Old Broome built around one idea: art that interprets the Kimberley. It represents a roster of Western Australian painters, among them Judy Prosser, Douglas Kirsop and Roslyn Hamdorf, and runs a rolling exhibition program of solo and group shows. Originals range into the tens of thousands, alongside prints, sculpture, glass, jewellery and weaving. A small sister gallery now trades in Mandurah, but Broome and the Kimberley are the centre of gravity.
