Doug and Emma Bowen have worked this terra rossa block at the southern end of the Coonawarra Strip since 1972, hand-pruning every vine. The range is deliberately slim — Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon — and the 2024 Chardonnay has already sold out. That ratio of restraint to reputation is the point.
