Dead Puppet Society

David Morton and Nicholas Paine's design-led theatre company has been building puppets and props here since 2009, for productions including The Wider Earth and Storm Boy. The Woolloongabba fabrication workshop doubles as a gallery selling their own sculptures in brass, copper, obsidian and driftwood: eagle rays, tawny frogmouths, blue skimmer dragonflies. Opening hours depend on whether anyone can step away from the laser cutter. Ring the doorbell.
