Design Tasmania

Founded in 1976, Design Tasmania has spent nearly five decades making the case that Tasmanian design belongs on a world stage — and the numbers back it up. The permanent Wood Collection, 80 pieces acquired biennially since 1991, is the only museum collection of its kind in Australia. It has toured to Beijing, New York, Helsinki and Tokyo. The corner of Brisbane and Tamar streets is where to see it.
