Flinders Discovery Centre

Hughenden's museum organises itself around five things the shire was built on: dinosaurs, First Nations history, pastoral life, sheep and the railway. A 2023 extension added video and audio recorded with locals, plus a fossil dig where children can dress up and turn up finds. The centre doubles as the accredited visitor centre and books Queensland Rail, REX and national parks.
