The Story
A gothic building constructed by convict labour, opened as an arts centre in 1973 under founding director Ian Templeman. Fremantle Arts Centre runs galleries, studios, education programs, and a concert series from its limestone halls. The galleries are currently closed for installation, reopening May 2026.
