Hunter Region Botanic Gardens

Volunteer-managed native gardens spread across 125 hectares on the Pacific Highway at Heatherbrae, north of the Hexham Bridge. The plant collection covers species of the Hunter Region, grevilleas, and native terrestrial orchids, with walking trails, guided tours by arrangement, and botanical education. The Kookaburra Café and gift shop serve homemade dishes, scones, and Segafredo coffee. Open daily, nine to four.
