The Story
A heritage town set in the ranges west of Herberton, less than two hours from Cairns, run by the Irvinebank School of Arts and Progress Association. Loudoun House Museum holds a collection of local history through displays, photographs, documents, newspapers and books, while Brian's Shed gathers mining equipment, engines, pumps and relics. A free campground, a volunteer-run shop and the School of Arts Hall round out the precinct.
