The permanent Carnegie Gallery traces Tasmania's maritime history from first contact to working watercraft; a stairwell exhibition on the *Blythe Star* runs until mid-2026; and the recently reopened Semaphore Cottage in Battery Point tells the story of the colony's earliest communications hub. Dense, specific, worth the admission.
