The Story
Twelve kilometres south of Meckering on the Quellington Road, this site preserves part of the fault line torn open by the earthquake of 14 October 1968. The tremor lasted forty seconds and left a scar running some 32 kilometres and standing up to two metres high across the wheatbelt. Around one kilometre of the fault line remains open for viewing.
