Mimi Aboriginal Art & Craft

A 100% Aboriginal community-owned art centre in Katherine, running since 1978 and now in a purpose-built gallery opened in 2023. It represents artists across an enormous slice of the Top End, from the Tanami Desert to the Kimberley border and the rivers and coast of Arnhem Land, in painting, weaving, carving and printed fabric. Two studios let visitors watch artists at work, and as an Indigenous Art Code signatory it returns a fair share of each sale to its artists.
