Patrick of Coonawarra

Patrick Tocaciu spent decades making wine for Penfolds and Hollick before buying his first Coonawarra cabernet block in 1989. The family estate opened its cellar door in 2004; when Patrick died in 2013, son Luke — Roseworthy-trained, with vintages in Clare and Sonoma — took over. The Home Block Cabernet that started it all is still the anchor of the range.
