The Story
A Broome gallery in Chinatown, open since 1998 and among the longest-running commercial galleries dealing in contemporary Aboriginal art. Director Emily Rohr has worked with Indigenous artists for over twenty-five years, sourcing through community-owned art centres across the Kimberley, the Tiwi Islands, the central and western deserts and Arnhem Land, and the gallery is a signatory to the Indigenous Art Code. Its program runs exhibitions tied to specific communities and artists, across two spaces, the Gallery and the Bungalow.
