The Story
Housed in the former Great Northern Terminus, opened in 1886 by Lord Carrington and closed to passengers in 1988, this Tenterfield station survives with its building and contents intact. Volunteers from the Tenterfield Railway Station Preservation Society keep it going, and displays run across the platform, rolling stock, tools of trade and workers' transport. Open Wednesday to Sunday.
