The Story
Undara's lava tube system is one of the longest in the world — formed 190,000 years ago when lava flowed from a single shield volcano and cooled into extraordinary tunnels up to 15 metres high. The heritage-listed tubes are home to rare bat colonies and a community of relict rainforest species.
