Bauple Museum

Macadamias were bopple nuts first, named for Bopple Mountain, and the first seed sent to Hawaii in the 1880s came from country between Gympie and Mount Bauple. The society has been collecting the district's records since 1995 and built its museum on a disused road reserve. Each panel of the perimeter fence was paid for by a local family or a pioneer's descendant. Coffee on the verandah, $5 in.
