Leongatha Historical Museum

The 1912 Mechanics Institute is the draw here — pressed metal ceilings, stained-glass windows, and walls built from river reeds and plaster. Inside, the Leongatha Historical Society stores photographs, documents, textiles and artefacts from the South Gippsland district. Open Thursday and Friday afternoons, noon to four. Entry by donation.
